What I did for love...

7 people like this story
When I started Carolina as a freshman in 1983, I was living in Teague dorm, but my highschool girlfriend (very serious!) was at NC State. I had a clunker of a '74 Plymouth Duster which I had to park far, far off campus, somewhere way down Highway 54. Every Friday my roommate and I (who also had a girl at NCSU) would ride our bikes down that long hill to make the drive to Raleigh. That, of course, was the easy part. Returning on Sunday nights with heavy freshmen hearts was made that much tougher by having to ride all the way back up that brutal hill to campus. Man, what I did for love that year!
