Apex Rexall Drugstore

The was bulit in 1910 on the corner at Salem and Chatham Streets. For 30 years, it was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Perry and was the favorite meeting place for local students after school.

The front section had a soda counter and the fountain included a long sit-down eating counter typical of the time and a line of booths where everyone hungout. An old wooden telephone booth and coin operated pay phone was at the rear.

I'm sure there are more stories about this place.  I have a few of my own....
