Page-Walker Arts & History Center 
Description: The Page-Walker Arts & History Center was built as a hotel in 1868 by Town of Cary founder Allison Francis Page. In 1979, the Page-Walker Hotel was listed on the National Register for Historic Places. Today, the center is alive with classes, events, performances, meetings and receptions and the gallery exhibitions feature works of local and regional artists.

Joel Lane Museum House 
Description: Built in the 1770s, this landmark is Wake County’s oldest existing home. As the center of the old Wake Court House community, it became the “Birthplace of Raleigh” when its owner, Joel Lane, a prominent statesman and Revolutionary war soldier, sold 1,000 acres of his plantation for the formation of the new state capital in 1792.

Description: The Southeast’s largest natural history museum offers four floors of exhibits, live animals, a store and Acro Cafe. North Carolina Railroad Museum

Raleigh City Museum 
Description: Featuring exhibits that change periodically and focus on the history of the city, the museum is housed in the historic Briggs Building, built in 1874 as a hardware store. The building retains many of its original features, including the tin ceiling in the museum gallery.

Wake Forest Museum
